Longtime Chrysostom member Eugene Peterson died in his home on October 22, 2018 at the age of 85. A beloved pastor who was world-renowned for his many books, particularly The Message, the news of his passing spread quickly:

Eugene became a member of the Society in 1988. He and his wife Jan attended their last Chrysostom gathering at Laity Lodge in May of 2016.
